Website policies
Policies that govern the use, content and management of this website, as required by GIGW 3.0.
Published policies
Drafts for DMI's approval. GIGW 3.0 also requires the policies below, which are not yet published on dmi.ac.in. The text is a starting draft for the Website Management Team to review and adopt.
Hyperlinking policy
Links to external websites: this website links to other websites and portals for the convenience of visitors. DMI is not responsible for their contents or reliability and does not necessarily endorse the views they express. External links are marked so that you know when you are leaving dmi.ac.in.
Links to this website from other websites: we do not object to you linking directly to information hosted on this website, and no prior permission is required. However, our pages must not be loaded into frames on your site; they must open in a newly opened browser window or tab.
Disclaimer
Though all efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the content on this website, it should not be construed as a statement of law or used for any legal purposes. In case of any ambiguity or doubt, users are advised to verify with the Institute. DMI will not be liable for any expense, loss or damage arising from the use of data on this website.
Content archival policy
Every item of content carries a date of publication and, where relevant, an expiry date. Notices, tenders and vacancies are moved to the archive after their expiry date. Events, press coverage and reports remain available in the archive for at least five years.
Content contribution, moderation and approval policy (CMAP)
Content is contributed by the departments and centres of the Institute, moderated by the Website Management Team, and approved by the officer nominated by the Director before it is published. The website's content management system enforces this workflow by role.
Content review policy
The Website Management Team reviews content on the following schedule: notices, tenders and vacancies daily; news and events weekly; programme, admissions and fee information before each admissions cycle; and institutional information once a quarter. Each page shows the date it was last updated.
Security policy
This website is hosted on secure infrastructure, is served only over HTTPS and is audited for security by a CERT-In empanelled auditor before launch and at regular intervals. Information you submit through forms is used only for the purpose stated on the form and is not shared with third parties except as required by law.
Contingency management
The website is backed up daily, and a tested recovery plan is maintained so that the website can be restored quickly in the event of a failure or security incident.
