About

Development Management accepts that growth is imperative, albeit emphasising that growth has to be distributed and dispersed. DMI seeks to impart a sociological imagination to the economistic core of management education.

Prof. Debiprasad Mishra works on how public and community institutions are designed, governed and scaled. With about 25 years in teaching, research and practice, Mishra brings field experience from Bihar and eastern India into the classroom and supervises students' field work and summer projects.

At DMI, Mishra teaches Organisation Behaviour and Leadership in Development Organisations in the PGDM in Development Management, and leads management development programmes for government departments, banks and NGOs. Current research looks at organisation design and public systems management, often with state agencies and civil-society partners.
